2. Purpose

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale govern all rentals or sales carried out via the Rent Surf website or on-site.

Any order implies full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms.


3. Services

  • Surfboard rental

  • Accessories rental

  • Sale of accessories


4. Prices

Prices are displayed in euros, including VAT, unless otherwise stated.
Prices may vary depending on rental duration, season, type of equipment, and availability.


5. Booking

A booking is confirmed once:

  • the deposit or full payment has been made, and

  • the Terms and Conditions have been accepted.


6. Payment

Secure payment via Stripe.

  • Deposit (25%) or full payment

  • Remaining balance due before equipment handover


7. Security deposit

A bank card pre-authorization may be required to cover:

  • damage,

  • theft,

  • loss,

  • late return,

  • deterioration of equipment.


8. Cancellation

Weather conditions are not considered valid grounds for cancellation.


9. Rental Period and Return

Rentals are calculated in 24-hour periods, starting from the agreed delivery time and ending at the corresponding collection time on the final day of the rental.

The delivery and collection times agreed upon at the time of booking are contractual.

Any delay in returning the equipment or making it available for collection may result in:

  • the billing of an additional rental day at the applicable rate;
  • the deduction of corresponding charges from the security deposit.

Any delay exceeding 24 hours may result in additional penalties and legal action to recover the rented equipment.

If the customer is unavailable or fails to attend the agreed delivery appointment without prior notice, Rent Surf reserves the right to cancel the delivery. In such cases, the booking may be considered forfeited and no refund will be issued.

Should the customer wish to extend the rental period, they must contact Rent Surf before the scheduled collection time. Any extension is subject to equipment availability and additional charges may apply.



10. Liability

The client practices surfing at their own risk.

Rent Surf declines all responsibility for:

  • accidents,

  • injuries,

  • weather conditions,

  • personal belongings.

The client remains fully responsible for the rented equipment.


11. Force majeure

Including, but not limited to, natural disasters, administrative decisions, or any event beyond the company’s control.


12. Personal data

Rent Surf complies with the GDPR.
Personal data is used strictly for professional and contractual purposes.


13. Governing law

  • France & European Union: French law, courts of the company’s registered office.

  • Outside the EU (including the USA): French law, exclusive jurisdiction of French courts.


14. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks

14.1 Payment disputes

By placing an order, the customer expressly acknowledges that:

  • surfboard rental constitutes a dated service, reserved and blocked for a specific period,
  • availability of the equipment is removed from sale once the booking is confirmed,
  • cancellation and refund conditions are governed exclusively by Article 8 of these Terms.

As a result, the customer agrees that payment disputes or chargebacks may not be initiated in contradiction with the applicable cancellation policy, except in cases of proven fraud or unauthorized use of the payment method.


14.2 Prior contact obligation

Before initiating any payment dispute or chargeback with their bank or payment provider, the customer agrees to:

  • contact Rent Surf directly in order to seek an amicable solution
  • provide all relevant information related to the booking.

Rent Surf commits to handling such requests promptly and in good faith.


14.3 Evidence and documentation

The customer acknowledges that the following elements may be used as valid evidence in the event of a payment dispute:

  • acceptance of the Terms and Conditions,
  • Stripe payment records,
  • booking confirmation emails,
  • rental agreement,
  • signature upon equipment pick-up,
  • system logs and timestamps,
  • IP address and geolocation data.

14.4 Abusive chargebacks

Any chargeback initiated in violation of these Terms, or without prior contact with Rent Surf, may be considered abusive.

In such cases, Rent Surf reserves the right to:

  • invoice administrative processing fees (minimum €50),
  • recover outstanding amounts through a collection agency,
  • refuse any future bookings from the customer.

15. Acceptance

By checking the box at checkout stating:
“I accept the General Terms and Conditions of Sale”,
the client acknowledges their full contractual value.
